About A Boy

I love this picture of my boy and have been waiting for the perfect paper to create with. Fancy Pants' Like Father Like Son line is the perfect paper for this layout! I have used lots of textures on this page, painting, inking rubons, my favorite cardboard and a new technique, melting tyvek. This new technique of melting Tyvek was introduced to my by Lynn Thune a very talented and inspirational scrapbooker! She is always pushing the limits of scrapbooking and inspires all who know her to do the same, I love it!
I used a combination of stamping with paint and ink as well as applying rubons to the edge of my photo to add texture and an urban grunge looke to my page.

Have a great scrappy day and thanks for stopping by!

Isn't She Lovely

Well yes she is, as well as funny, smart and beautiful inside and out. She's my girl and I Love, Love, Love her. This girl of mine is definately not a girly girl so seeing her all dolled up was a treat! I created this layout using pictures taken just before her grade nine grad in June.

I love all of the lumpy bumpy details on this page. The handmade rose and tarnished heart from an old piece of jewelry has given this page a vintage flair.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you to create something today!

Back To School!

Wow summer is officially over and the kids are back to school! This is always an exciting time, heading back to school to see old friends, meet new ones and find out who your teacher will be. My kids have all settled in nicely and are ready to see what great adventures this new school year holds! I on the other hand am excited about all the scrapbooking time I will have during the day!

The challenge at The Inspired Scrapper this week is to create a "back to school" layout or project. Chriss has posted a fabulous idea for jazzing up school supplies, I love it! We would love to see what you create with the back to school theme, just link your project up via Mister Linky.

Have a great week!
